Certified Personal Recovery Assistant Services:

Bridging the Gap: Creating a Solid Foundation for Lasting Recovery

Everyone committing the time and resources to a treatment plan needs to include a strategy for bringing recovery home. Successful recovery hinges on an individual’s ability to apply the information: the new skills, thoughts and ideas into their own daily living environment. This is accomplished with the one-on-one personal guidance, support and mentoring of a Certified Personal Recovery Assistant and the Hired Power team.

When you engage Hired Power Certified Personal Recovery Assistant service, you engage a qualified team. We understand the loneliness and isolation that lifestyle changes create. We have developed a team approach to support those changes. Each client is assigned a Recovery Care Manager and a Certified Personal Recovery Assistant to join their identified treatment coordinator and themselves in implementing the changes necessary.

Hired Power’s Certified Personal Recovery Assistants help make recovery last. From navigating social situations and establishing everyday routines to attending therapy sessions, we deliver discreet, one-on-one in-home support and guidance.

Safe Passage:

Traveling to or home from a treatment center for many individuals is filled with stress and anxiety. We provide Safe Passage for clients and families. Hired Power's Certified Personal Recovery Assistants are able to travel to a client's home, assist them in the necessary preparations and accompany them to the door of the treatment setting.

Quite often, clients need to return home during the course of treatment for a family situation, legal issue, or a program home visit. The Certified Personal Recovery Assistant will arrive at the treatment center and provide Safe Passage for the client during the necessary excursion from treatment. This service has helped to bring continuity to the experience and decrease the risk of a client's relapse or refusal to return to the treatment setting.

Moving from a primary treatment center to an extended care center has long been a time of high anxiety and risk. Clients face the known risks of carrying their own medications, passing by airport bars with long periods of travel time, stress and delays. Having a gender-specific Certified Personal Recovery Assistant during this transition can be the determining factor of getting a client to their next destination safely. This service can avoid the need for an additional drug intervention, detox settings and prevent relapse in recovery.

Safe and Structured Transitions:

Returning from a treatment center can be very emotional and challenging. Often, the road to long-term recovery is blocked with fear and anxiety but out sober transport services can make all the difference.

The first three-to seven days after discharge from a treatment setting is a high-risk period of early recovery. Our Certified Personal Recovery Assistants/sober companions accompany clients during these transition periods-- we assist them in making the discharge plan into a daily living plan.

Working one-on-one, Hired Power's Certified Personal Recovery Assistants help clients navigate challenging social and work situations. Many of our clients deal with addictive behaviors, including alcoholism, drug addiction, depression and eating disorders. Our in-home services help clients advance their recovery as they continue their professional, recreational and social lives. Our team supports the client in connecting with the identified treatment professionals in their area. We accompany them to recovery meetings, individual appointments, business meetings, recreational and social events. In essence, we help to increase the success of the journey to long-term recovery.

Certified Personal Recovery Assistants staff includes individuals with varied backgrounds and experiences. Many are in active, long-term recovery, and are uniquely qualified to offer advice and support at critical emotional and behavioral junctures. Certified Personal Recovery Assistants have undergone specialized training, thorough background checks, and are fully insured and bonded.

Hired Power continues to build the professional concept of transition services with the added features of Recovery Care Management and Monitoring Services. Studies prove that the longer a client receives continued support, the greater the potential for lasting recovery.

Recovery Care Management:

The goal of the Recovery Care Management is to provide professional oversight and support to the client as they transition through their recovery process. Recovery Care Management is a comprehensive service created to supervise and support a continuing care plan. This extended service assists in identifying additional clinically appropriate recovery resources such as outpatient programs, physicians and therapists in the client’s community. The service provides support for the client’s personal responsibility and accountability utilizing the skills acquired during the continued treatment process. Every client’s plan is based on personal history, progress in treatment, and either an identified continuing care plan or the need to develop one. In addition, the service works with and supports the family or the workplace in their participation and support of the recovery process.

All Intervention Services include Recovery Care Management:

  • Certified professional working with the clinical team during treatment
  • Participation and guidance in the discharge/transition plan
  • In some case: the development of the treatment plan and supervision of the follow through after the client has returned home or after the CPRA assignment has been completed.

Outside of Intervention Services, a Recovery Care Manager can be utilized to oversee continued support and works with the clients treatment team.

Monitoring Services:

Monitoring is a proven method of supporting sober skill development following the completion of primary substance abuse treatment. This method of creating measurable outcomes while providing accountability and documentation has been utilized for many years.

The monitoring model has proven effective with pilots, physicians, dentists, nurses and pharmacists when substance use is discovered, and as a result, has created uncertain conditions for predictable performance in the workplace.

After residential treatment or as an extension of the Certified Personal Recovery Assistant service, monitoring services can provide an accurate, responsive system of support when there are indicators associated with the relapse process.

Monitoring allows for early identification of potential difficulties interrupting the progression of relapse thinking and behavior patterns. The procedure for alerted response includes a collaborative process between the recovering client, identified support people and treatment professionals.

Hired Power is associated with a network of certified laboratories nationwide. This relationship assures a system of convenient, accurate and time-sensitive test results. We provide a discreet method for documenting attendance at 12-step meetings. We believe that this accountability can support compliance with the aftercare plan and continued ongoing sobriety. Hired Power facilitates the process for communicating with identified stakeholders as outlined by federal law.

All Certified Personal Recovery Assistant assignments include the opportunity for continued monitoring services. These services can also be assigned as stand-alone services including:

  • Continued support in following through with the daily living plan
  • Routine communication with client and stakeholders: weekly phone interview, email correspondence, documentation of progress.
  • Self-reporting of attendance to meetings, therapist appointments, out-patient programs etc.
  • Random Urinalysis drug screening using a nationwide network of providers.
  • Monthly reports and documentation of progress for additional providers
  • Oversight of monitoring services and transition plan by a Recovery Care Manager
Whether a client requires support for a day, a week or continual around-the-clock assistance, we provide powerful tools for a successful recovery and a rewarding, productive life.
