Sober Coach: Sober Escort & Executive Intervention Help
A Sober Coach: What Does This Mean?
What is the meaning behind a sober coach? Well, you won’t be doing sprints down the fifty yard line and no one is going to blow a whistle in your face and tell you to drop and give them twenty. A coach in the purest and truest meaning of the word is someone that cheers you on and supports you even when you don’t feel so great about yourself. A sober coach is someone who is there for you during your recovery process to keep you sober. Some people come out of rehab and are just so fragile, everything is new to them. They need a lot of attention and support and friends and family can’t always be accessible twenty-four hours a day they way a coach can during the first few months of a recovery process.
Sober Escort: Will People Laugh At Me?
You are out of rehab but not out of the woods. You work in a line of work where you are constantly expected to go out and be social. You just got out of rehab and you are in recovery. You don’t drink anymore. Therefore you work hard to stay sober but it’s hard when you are constantly surrounded by people that drink. A sober escort is a great person to bring with you to events. They are your right hand man when it comes to sobriety. You do not need to tell people that you are with a sober escort. You can simply say they are a friend.
Executive Intervention: Stepping In When It Counts
An executive intervention can be challenging. When you are dealing with a big personality, someone who is surrounded by a lot of yes people just being able to talk to them one on one can be challenging. If an addict is abusing drugs or alcohol but they do not have a successful job and do not have a lot of people covering for them they can be easier to get through to because they don’t have money and resources and you can cut them off and then they are desperate and as a result sometimes easier to get through too. A person who needs nothing from anyone is harder to get through to because they are financially independent. That doesn’t make them less of an addict though.
