Recovery Case Manager, The Coach Connect

Chris joined the Hired power team in 2018 as a Personal Recovery Assistant and recently became a Case Manager for The Coach Connect program. Chris shares his experience below:

“When I got sober in 2012, I had limited resources and nowhere to live, but I was given an opportunity due to the graciousness of a sober living owner. Crying in his office, coming off of a relapse, I told him how grateful I was for the chance to get my life back on track. He told me I was the one providing him with the opportunity to be of service. Since that moment, my life has shifted to the mentality that recovery is more about helping others and less about myself.”

I have been blessed to work in the industry since 2013. Initially, I started managing that same sober living environment, and then I began working in the operations department at an inpatient treatment facility. At that point, I decided to go back to school and become a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. I believe that continuing my education while working in the field is one of the best ways I can grow in my effectiveness and understanding of addiction and mental health. In 2015, I received my CADC certification, and then I earned my CADC-II certification in 2018. In 2019, I attended Coach Training EDU to become a Certified Health and Wellness Life Coach. I believe my life’s experience has given me the ability to support those who are interested in starting their journey of recovery.”
