Nanette began working in the field of mental health and addiction treatment nearly three decades ago as a direct care technician at inpatient acute psychiatric hospitals. Under her care and leadership, Hired Power has taken the pioneering role in clinically supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults during the high risk and critical transition periods of recovery.

Nanette is a dedicated professional with an intuitive ability to understand the needs within the field of treatment. One example of this is her commitment to holding higher ethical standards and professionalism within the community of direct care staff and companions. Recognizing this need, she partnered with Dr. Judith Landau in 2015, creating the International Recovery Institute. Together they developed a curriculum for an imperative skills training. This curriculum is now recognized by NAADAC and is being reviewed by several other credentialing bodies.

Nanette is well-known as a strong advocate for families struggling with addiction, mental illness, or co-occurring disorders. Her passion for recovery from addiction stems from within her own family. She experienced first-hand the devastation of this insidious disease.
